Continuing with our Celebration of Welsh Food the Llugwy River Restaurant is taking a new stride forward for 2018 with some pop-up events celebrating local produce and our teams love of travel.
The Llugwy was awarded it’s first rosette in 2003 and since taking over it’s direction in 2017, our well travelled Head Chef, Sam Plester, has bought her love of fusion cuisine back to the green green grass of home and applied all the taste sensations she’s experienced, alongside her exceptional cooking talent, to a new style of menu.
Our Catering Manager Paul Adams has honed his talents alongside some big names in the industry and add that to Sam’s natural flair and we’re looking forward to some extraordinary Pop-up events this season – sign up to our newsletter for a preview of what’s to come or you can catch up with Paul’s latest creations on our home page blog.
If you happen to be here on a Sunday then we can heartily recommend Sunday Lunch in the Llugwy and if you can’t make up your mind what to order then try our sharing platter – especially made for two!
The wine list
Our extensive list features old and new world wines especially chosen to accompany the flavours that our menus offer, reviewed four times a year we work closely with Ffarm Vintners, a small local independent wine company who offer an eclectic selection from around the world. Offering an exciting and varied range from independent wine growers who have a passion for what they do on a personal level. You wont find any of our wines on a supermarket shelf!
It also features Champagne by leading vintner Louis Roederer and a large selection of wines by the glass.
